A little history:

The original beewitched.com sims 1 website was opened in 2002 after having had a site together with ikbod for a year. We met at TSR early 2001 so I've been around for quite some time and my "The Sims 1 history" already goes waaaay back. It's actually quite hard to believe that I have been dealing and dabbling with The Sims for so long! No "project" in RL has ever held my interest past the 4 - 5 year mark, so the folks at Maxis (and now EA) did a darn good job of whatever they did! =D Maybe they coded in some evil addiction code to keep players hooked... Hmm. Or, maybe it's just the fabulous people I have met on the way through my SimWanderings on the net. The community may actually be frighteningly large to new Simmers but there are wonderful people on most forums and sites. Anyway, in 2002, I decided to move to my own domain and beewitched.com became my new cozy home.

I created for a long time in 2D and started to learn how to make 3D models mid 2003. By 2004, the quality of my 3D objects was increasing and I was asked to create for a subscription site, which I did for a while, as a featured artist. However, trying to keep my own site updated and creating for another was, in the end, beyond my capacity. Any creations I have made are not re-made items from any furniture site on the net or store in RL, they are made purely from my own imagination and being creative is not a factory product. Ideas come and go but I couldn't possibly create all the images I conjur up in my head. I consider what most creators do for the Sims as art and it is no different than painting a picture over days until the final piece is finished. I often felt pushed to create and it was at that time when I lost any interest in even opening up any tool for creating at all. It was too much like work and not fun. For me, Art is to enjoy, delight in and have fun with. As it all became too time consuming and my own site started to suffer from high bandwidth usage and I couldn't afford more at that time and monetary support from players is scarce, I decided to close my site and stop creating altogether. A year before beewitched.com was closed, I had opened a Sims 2 site under the beewitched.com domain as a sub-domain. Unfortunately, the bandwidth situation became worse - the sites even went down a week before the end of the month. I closed both sites in September 2005.

I have always been "here" in the Sims Community online, however I had just stepped back from the creating side. It was very refreshing! I have also never uninstalled any of my Sims games as I continued playing now and then and The Sims and all of the good people I know through this game are very dear to me.

The reason why I am back online? Well, I have never lost my love of digital design or other forms of art and simmers still ask for my creations, so here is beewitched. Different look, different URL but still the same at it's core.

This site offers all of my creations that were ever up for download on a site - from TSR as well as all my "old" donation items and everything else from beewitched. It is to be considered more of an "archive" site now and will be online as long as bandwidth and server resources last and for as long as Simmers support my sites.

Yes, now you can order a CD will all of my creations I have ever made for the PC Game, The Sims 1. All downloadable items from this site are on the CD plus all items that have never been available for download on any site including special gifts I used to have for donators on a private site. The CD is a great way to make sure you have the complete archive and won't have to re-download everything (saving bandwidth and other server resources) if you ever experience a hard-drive crash. To that, you would be supporting my sites and alleviating costs of keeping my items online. And, I guess it's just a neat idea to have a custom CD with a custom created cover for all my old items as I will never be adding new items to this site.

You may wonder why I never submitted all of my creations to any other large site. I had many offers of people generously wanting to host my creations and I declined them all. Maybe this is difficult to understand but I hold my creations very dear to my heart, they have all been made with much love and dedication. It would be like handing over a part of me and I just cannot do that.

Enjoy!
